Chromaplane: An Electromagnetic Synthesizer

Koma Elektronik is introducing the Chromaplane, a one-of-a-kind synthesizer featuring ten tunable electromagnetic fields played with pickups. It's now on Kickstarter and has already reached its funding goal. This is what they say about it...

The Chromaplane is a one-of-a-kind synthesizer featuring ten tunable electromagnetic fields played with pickups.

Interact with the space all around these fields in a unique way through gestural expression: your experience on the Chromaplane harnesses the sensitivity of your hands and your ears providing a highly accessible playing experience.

Invent your personal way of using the pickups and guide the Chomaplane's rich polyphonic sound world: the immediate response of the sound to your movement offers an endlessly mesmerizing and immersive experience of sound exploration.

Through its completely distinctive design, the Chromaplane invites you to reimagine what a musical instrument can be. Our goal with this instrument is to inspire people to share musical ideas, and create sounds that go beyond our imagination: we hope that you will also find something special in trying to make the Chromaplane your own.
