Chaos Synthesizer For Ableton Live

US Small World Electronics releases Gemini 4-oscillator synth      22/12/23

Small World Electronics has released a new Max for Live device called Gemini, which they describe as a 'chaos synthesizer'. This is what developer Ben has to say about it...

Gemini is a four osc. synth with a modulation section that allows for feedback patching. There's also a looping noise section with S&H, an envelope, and some other stuff. It sounds simple, and it is, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts in this case I think. I've spent a lot of time just hitting the random button and listening to the machine play itself so to speak. It can be almost generative in nature.

Features

  • Four Oscillators with waveshaping and LFO mode
  • Looping Noise Source with Sample and Hold Section
  • Gain and Pan Controls, with gain stages acting as Lowpass Gates
  • Midi Controlled Envelope with Looping Mode
  • Deep Modulation Matrix with Meta-Modulation ability
  • Randomizer with Depth Control
  • Global Gain Control, and Output Display
  • Midi control over pitch and volume envelope
  • All parameters fully mappable to Ableton Live

Requirements

  • Ableton Live 10+ Suite/Standard with Max for Live
