Small World Electronics has released a new Max for Live device called Gemini, which they describe as a 'chaos synthesizer'. This is what developer Ben has to say about it...
Gemini is a four osc. synth with a modulation section that allows for feedback patching. There's also a looping noise section with S&H, an envelope, and some other stuff. It sounds simple, and it is, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts in this case I think. I've spent a lot of time just hitting the random button and listening to the machine play itself so to speak. It can be almost generative in nature.
