Bristronica 2023: Play All Day - Playfader

We spoke to Hadj from Play All Day at Machina Bristronica 2023, where they unveiled the Playfader, a versatile two-channel CV performance looper designed to empower modular musicians. This sleek device offers a range of features, including CV and gate outputs for each channel, MIDI and CV clock synchronization, and user-friendly button combos that are accessible with the help of a QR code guide on the back. The Playfader also boasts pitch quantization capabilities, allowing users to experiment with various scales and even create their own user-defined scales for musical exploration. With an onboard recorder that can handle up to 64 steps, it offers creative possibilities for looping and manipulating sound.
