Fors has released Opal which they describe as a rhythm machine & drum synthesizer for Ableton Live that distills what we love about hardware grooveboxes in a software format. Its step sequencer is deeply connected to its five different audio engines, each a unique kind of synthesis, with parameter locks, conditional sequencing and different play modes.
