Discovering Electronic Music Documentary

This little gem updated in 1983 was originally made in 1969-70 by Bernard Wilets. The film features a Moog Modular and a Fairlight to demonstrate use of a synthesizer - and contains several people who went on to make their names in electronic music, including Rory Kaplan, Douglas Leedy, and Jean-Claude Risset. This video has been uploaded by youtube channel Fran Blanche who mentions: 

This reel was transferred from my own 16mm archive print using my Eiki Telecine. The Eiki projects a 24fps print at 30 frames per second for a flickerless NTSC transfer. A special diffusion plate eliminates the 'hot spot' of the projector, and the sound is pulled right from the optical track. Enjoy!

It was part of a Discovering Music series by Wilets - with personal favourite moments being the programming of a melody and the use of a novel velocity control stick. You'll find more fascinating films on this youtube channel, which I dare say will be a gold mine for dialogue samples.
