Two New Alesis 88-Key Digital Pianos

Alesis has announced the release of two new 88-key digital pianos - the Prestige and Prestige Artist. They tell us that the new Prestige Series combines studio-quality multi-sampled voices, a custom-voiced 50W micro-array speaker system, and a luxurious graded hammer-action keybed to provide a truly authentic piano-playing experience that fits in any home. Here's their details direct from the company...

Unparalleled Authenticity
The Alesis Prestige Series delivers an experience unmatched by anything other than the real thing. Every built-in premium multi-sample voice has been crafted from the ground up by recording its real-world counterpart. From the rich harmonics and colours of the featured Grand Piano voices to the lush textures of the included Strings and Organ voices, and the nostalgia-inducing Electric Piano and Synth voices, the Prestige Series 88-key digital pianos feature the most advanced and versatile sound library ever created for a digital piano. Combined with best-in-class polyphony, players can feel each key authentically responding to their touch, preserving the natural tone of each instrument, and responding to subtle nuances in their playing. This pristine detail can all be heard in any setting thanks to the built-in custom-voiced 50W micro-array speaker system which sounds full and brilliant regardless of room position or surface placement. For larger performances, the 1/4" stereo outputs will connect to any mixer or powered amplifier. For private practice, plug in to either of the front-facing headphone jacks (1/4" and 1/8") to automatically mute the speaker system.

Powerful Features and Intuitive Control
Both the Prestige and Prestige Artist have smart control panels that deliver all the features needed to learn, practice, and perform. The built-in voices can be layered and/or split to provide a rich ensemble sound. Lesson Mode divides the keyboard into two zones with the same pitch and voice, perfect for students to follow along with their piano instructor or duet with another player. Record Mode enables players to record and then listen back to their performance, and the built-in Metronome helps keep them in time.

Educational Software for Every Player
Whether players are starting to play piano for the first time, looking for an upgrade to their current digital piano, or returning to the instrument after a long break, the Prestige series include a variety of educational software options to fit each player's learning style. The included 60 free lessons from Melodics uses music from today's modern genres to provide players with instant feedback. The included 3 months of Skoove Premium provide in-depth online piano courses that adapt to players and give them feedback. Finally, the Prestige Series also includes 2 months of live video lessons from the growingly popular TakeLessons | Live.
