Chiral - A Holographic Synth For Ableton Live

US MPE-enabled Max for Live device is inspired by early electronic performance instruments      06/04/21

Fors, a tiny music software maker based in Berlin, has released their new synthesizer - Chiral. This is what they have to say about it...

Chiral is an MPE-enabled Max for Live device inspired by the culture and methodology pioneered by early electronic performance instruments.

From that scene and era, what still resonates with us today is the search for newness, not replicating acoustic & familiar sounds or to conform to expectations of what a synthesizer should sound like. The core of Chiral operates through the unconventional distortion of a sine wave, known as phaseshaping. Through the built-in three-dimensional oscilloscope, the twisting of your waveform is displayed holographically, reminiscent of a Moebius strip.

Chiral is fully engineered to take advantage of all the expressive and performative possibilities opened up by MPE integration in Ableton 11.

It is available now as a Max for Live device and is compatible with both Ableton Live 10 and 11.

Pricing and Availability:
€25 excl. VAT.  10% of sales go to a mutual aid fund or nonprofit - rotating every few months.
