Online music education hub Soundfly has launched their Advanced Synths and Patch Design for Producers online course.
Spokesperson Jeremy Young told us, "The goal of this course is to help producers of all kinds, hip-hop/EDM/rock/etc. learn to use the digital tools available to them to create custom sounds and textures that work for their music specifically, as opposed to relying on preset or out-of-the-box patches. So the approach is almost like that of a creative brief, but with definitive learning around how various types of synthesis (subtractive, FM, wavetable, sampling) function, incorporated as well. As with all of Soundfly courses, users can go through it on their own with the all-access monthly subscription, or with the professional feedback, support, and guidance of a Soundfly mentor over the course of six weeks."
