Novation have a long history of continually supporting their synthesizers after release, just look at how much more of a synthesizer the Bass Station 2 is now. Summit and Peak are no exception to this rule either. One of the most requested feature updates of both the Peak and Summit has been user generated wavetables, and that is exactly what we get in this latest update.

To create your own wavetables for Summit and Peak you will need to use Novation’s Components software. Components allows you to do firmware updates for all of Novation’s hardware as well as manage presets for your devices. This is where you will also be able to create your own set of 10 user wavetables. You have a number of tools for designing the wavetables including, a pen, line tool and harmonic/partials designer as well as preset standard waveshapes.

Chris Calcutt was on hand to show of the new features and gave a run of creating your own wavetables on the fly.
