Touch Sensing For Modular Synthesisers

US Euro-Trill module uses Trill sensors that have launched on Kickstarter      02/10/19

Bela, a small London-based company who make an open-source maker board for instrument building and synth experimenting, has created Euro-trill, a module that uses their new Trill touch sensing technology. You can see it in action in the video above and read all about it in this blog.

The Euro-trill module showcases the new Trill sensors that are currently on Kickstarter. There are three types of Trill sensor used in this module: Trill Bar, Trill Square and Trill Craft. Trill uses capacitive sensing to precisely track finger movements making it quick and easy, says Bela, to create beautifully responsive touch interfaces. A spokesperson told us, "Trill sensors are designed to make capacitive touch sensing easy to integrate into music, art and interactive projects."
