Spitfire Audio have just announced a new instrument (dedicated plug-in) In collaboration with BT - composer and musician responsible for The Fast and The Furious, Monster, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider soundtracks.

This is the first non-Kontakt based instrument from Spitfire - Phobos - conceived by BT,  its described as a poly convolution synthesizer-  "a powerful new device to add a unique timbral expansion to your compositions by unlocking the liquid, morphing and transforming capabilities of convolution."

Available in VST/VST3, AU and AAX formats, its got a 20GB supporting library with plenty of hand-built BT rhythms, pulses, textures and atmospheres.

The GUI has been designed by London architectural-CGI superstars Factory Fifteen for a very unique look.

They tell us "you can quickly and easily create molecular loops, patterns and textures to energise your music and hold your audience at the edge of their seats."
