Underworld today release their own iPhone application, allowing you to remix thirteen classic tunes using the classy iDrum interface courtesy of iZotope.

iZotope have released a few more packs for the iDrum software, most recently the Ministry of Sound and Depeche Mode packs. This pack is born of work from Underworld's Rick Smith and GForce Software's Dave Spiers, who re-programmed the tunes to work in iDrum world.

iDrum was one of the first music apps for the iPhone taking the unique and well respected interface of iDrum for the Mac and PC and working it up in to the tactile iPhone version.

Features:
â–ª The fun and simple way to make music on your iPhone or iPod touch!
â–ª Includes dozens of sounds and 13 pre-made kits
â–ª Tap the touch screen to play and record your own musical patterns
â–ª Bring sounds in and out of the mix to make songs on the fly and perform live
â–ª Customize patterns to create your own unique beats
â–ª Take control of the rhythm of every drum sound and sample
â–ª Transfer custom kits and samples to and from your computer (requires iDrum for Mac/PC available from www.izotope.com or an Apple Retail Store)

Dave Spiers will be showing the new Underworld iDrum pack and talking about it's creation on today's Sonic TALK podcast (140) which can be listened to as it's recorded at 4pm UK time - see link below. There's a live chat room if you want to fire off any questions too.

Available now from the Apple iTunes store at £2.99/$4.99
