Godin Guitars have introduced the A6 Ultra semi-acoustic model. They tell us that the A6 Ultra continues with the innovative concepts found in all of their A-series guitars, such as combining plugged-in acoustic sound with the feel of an electric neck, and a chambered body design that virtually eliminates feedback in live and loud settings.
Added to that is the full tone of a humbucker in the neck position, along with an under-saddle transducer, dual outputs (acoustic and electric) that combine for a huge stereo sound and a Custom Godin preamp section voiced specifically for the A6 Ultra. This preamp section gives a player the chance to control their tone via sliders for acoustic volume, treble, mid, bass and independent controls for the electric humbucker volume, treble and bass.
Godin say that whether plugging into the single acoustic mix or in stereo (via both outputs), controlling your tone is at the tip of your fingers. They believe that the A6 Ultra delivers in all styles of music from jazz to rock to country and is also a great blues slide guitar.
Other features include a solid cedar top, a two-chambered silver leaf maple body, and a Godin ergocut, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. The A6 Ultra is also available in three finishes - the Natural SG, the Black HG and the Cognac Burst HG.
