UJAM Introduces BOUNCE Plug-Ins

UJAM has announcesd Beatmaker BOUNCE and Usynth BOUNCE, two new plug-ins inspired by the sounds of late-'90s and early-2000s R&B, hip-hop, and club music. A spokesperson told us, "Developed to complement one another, Beatmaker BOUNCE provides the drums and grooves, while Usynth BOUNCE supplies the basses, leads, keys, and synth textures, giving producers access to the rhythmic and melodic elements that helped define the era."

Here's the full details direct from UJAM...

The distinctive sound of Y2K-era music is finding new life in contemporary productions, with artists and producers revisiting the swung grooves, syncopated rhythms, and digital synth sounds that characterized the period. Recreating those sounds, however, can mean searching through old sample libraries, tracking down discontinued hardware, or programming complex synthesizer patches. With BOUNCE, UJAM pairs its Beatmaker and Usynth instruments, giving producers a more direct way to explore the sounds of the era.

Beatmaker BOUNCE draws on the drum machines and sampling techniques that shaped R&B, hip-hop, and club music around the turn of the millennium. Its MPC-inspired sound combines tight, punchy drums with groove-focused rhythms, allowing producers to move between laid-back R&B patterns and more energetic hip-hop and club beats.

The plug-in includes 10 drum kits and mix presets, plus 25 styles that cover a range of rhythmic approaches. Its dedicated Juggle control adds reverse and beat-repeat effects, giving producers more ways to manipulate grooves and add variation to their tracks.

Usynth BOUNCE takes inspiration from the digital workstation synthesizers that became a defining part of late-'90s and early-2000s music production. Drawing on the character of instruments such as the Korg Triton, its sound palette spans punchy basses, bright synth leads, funky clavs, glossy keys, world-influenced instruments, synth stabs, and layered orchestral textures.

With 100 synthesizer patches and 100 global presets, Usynth BOUNCE provides a range of ready-to-play sounds for building basslines, hooks, and melodic arrangements. A built-in sequencer/arpeggiator and multi-effects processor offer more creative control, while the streamlined interface lets producers shape sounds without navigating the complexities of traditional workstation programming.

Beatmaker BOUNCE and Usynth BOUNCE can be used together to build complete arrangements or independently in an existing production setup.
