Softube Releases Limit Pro And Limit Go

Softube tells us that they are expanding their arsenal of must-have tools with the all-new Limit Pro plug-in that includes the also-new Limit Go – for crucial loudness with Softube fidelity. Here's the story in their own words...

If a loud mix is wanted, a fast limiter is needed. But how to not end up with a clipper with a lot of distortion? To achieve a loud and transparent mix, the type of peak suppression and the method of release must be tailored to suit the music. That was the challenge for Softube in making their all-new limiting plug-ins, Limit Pro and Limit Go.

Limit Pro enhances loudness, prevents clipping, and controls dynamics by delivering users extensive control over peak suppression, metering, and precise and flexible limiting for mastering, mixing, and single tracks. Limit Pro features three different peak suppression methods – with frequency-adaptive control of release times – for a variety of genres and styles of music. A low frequency protection mode keeps the bass intact, and Limit Pro also offers a Gain Match feature, Delta monitoring, and a good overview of the metering needed, such as true peak, peak, LUFS, loudness loss, and a real-time peak suppression view. All with low latency and low CPU usage.

Limit Go gives users the same limiting capabilities as Limit Pro in a simple, easy-to-use workflow that's critical when fast results are essential. Precise and flexible, Limit Go features three styles loosely based on genres or production styles: Raw for dense electronic mixes; Clean for pop, rock, and other types of recorded music; and Safe for acoustic music. Limit Go offers low latency, low CPU usage, and True Peak processing for mastering, mixes, and single tracks.
