Dubspot has released Tracker Pro on the App Store. They say that the iPad app brings a 16-track sequencer, sample editing, synthesis, effects, and song arrangement into a touch-based workspace. Here's more details direct from the company...
Tracker Pro lets musicians build a track from individual notes and sample slices. Notes, velocity, and effects appear together in the pattern: retrigger a snare, glide a bass note, or change a slice on one step. Patterns can then be arranged into song sections and exported as a finished WAV mix.
The sampler supports imported and recorded audio, transient and manual slicing, and vintage playback modes. Reduced-bit-depth resampling, Amiga-style Paula interpolation, and S950-style cycle-splice stretching provide different ways to shape a recording's texture with instant resampling. Filters, envelopes, and modulation controls sit alongside the sample editor.
Built-in instruments include Macro, with 24 synthesis engines covering approaches such as virtual analog, FM, wavetable, and synthesized drums, and Resonator for physical-modeling sounds. Tracker Pro also hosts compatible AUv3 instruments and effects installed separately on the iPad.
Key features include:
- Up to 16 tracks, patterns up to 128 rows, three effect columns per step, and chords of up to six notes.
- Sample recording, slicing, editing, vintage resampling, and time stretching.
- Built-in Macro and Resonator instruments, audio effects, envelopes, and modulation.
- AUv3 instrument and effect hosting, with plug-in state saved in the project.
- Song arrangement, track mixing, shared effect sends, and WAV export.
- Touch input, on-screen keys, and external typing-keyboard shortcuts.Tracker Pro runs as a standalone iPad app.
