LOVE Synthesizers have announced that FIRST LOVE, its standalone synthesizer and recipient of the Best Innovation Award at Superbooth 2024, is now available for pre-order through select retailers worldwide ahead of shipments beginning in October 2026. They say that, designed to make wave morphing and FM synthesis intuitive without sacrificing depth, FIRST LOVE combines a responsive touchscreen with tactile controls to create an entirely new approach to electronic music-making.

Portable, standalone, multitimbral and polyphonic, it frees musicians from the studio while expanding their sonic possibilities. Including everything needed to create music in a single instrument, FIRST LOVE offers a remarkably low barrier to entry with virtually unlimited room for exploration-encouraging musicians to enter creative flow anywhere, anytime.

After years of research, design, and refinement, FIRST LOVE introduces a fresh approach to sound design through wave shaping, morphing envelopes and FM synthesis with an interface built around direct interaction rather than complex menus. Its expressive workflow combines animated touch interaction with responsive physical controls, allowing musicians to sculpt sounds visually while maintaining the tactile immediacy of hardware. "No other hardware I know of that lets you tune your own microtonal scales in such a tactile, fast and intuitive way," said musician and film composer, Ulfur Hansson. _
