New Luxury Studio On Turkey's Aegean Coast

Back in the day there were a few legendary residential studios in glamorous locations - Compass Point in the Bahamas was the pinnacle of 80s luxury ,but that's long gone.

Great news though, theres a new luxury residential studio -  Pür Recording & Residence which has  opened on Cunda Island on Türkiye's North Aegean coast,  which is a beautiful clear blue sea. Combining a five-room recording complex with on-site accommodation and amenities.
The studio is already hosting international work, including mastering projects for Rolling Stones, Seal and Paloma Faith, and album recordings by pianist Fazil Say.

Founded by Erce Kaslioglu with COO Özlem Kaslioglu, the destination pairs a flagship SSL room and Dolby Atmos capability with integrated residential setup aimed at focused, long-form production.

• Studios: Five purpose-built rooms, including a 110 m2 flagship live room with a restored SSL 4000 G+ and Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 monitoring
• Monitoring: Telegrapher analog systems throughout - Gorilla-S midfields and flush-mounted Rhino mains in Control Room A and the mastering suite
• Instruments: Fazioli concert grand piano and Steinway B211 on site
• Team: Led by classical producer and chief mastering engineer Pieter Snapper (30+ years) with chief engineer Arin Baykurt (25+ years)
• Credits: Recent mastering for Rolling Stones, Seal, Paloma Faith; new album sessions with Fazil Say
• Residence: 12 guest rooms across four buildings, private beach and jetty, heated outdoor pool, Dolby Atmos screening room
• Food: TEN Restaurant on site, led by Chef Ismail Cakir, farm-to-fork with local sourcing
• Workflow: Interconnected recording, composition, mixing and mastering spaces; bookable as lockouts, writing camps or full production stays

Studio A live area

This is very much the destination-studio model: fly in and live with the project. The Telegrapher monitoring is installed into every room ( speakers designed by one of the owners), so you can work on the same reference across tracking, mixing and mastering.

Obviously this is top drawer stuff, and if you can afford sessions there, kudos to you.
