Battery Operated Orchestra - New Album Release

Battery Operated Orchestra - the duo of our good friends Brigitte Rose and Chris Black,  return with their eighth studio album, Sea Views Soft Rains. The album is built around twelve found photographs set against a small English seaside town, unfolding as a series of interconnected stories of revenge, love, loss and redemption. They have been making synthpop together since meeting in a Kings Cross practice room in 2010, and handle every part of their output themselves, from building their home studio to making CDs by hand and directing their own videos - Brigitte is an excellent professional animator.

BOO's previous records include Compulsory Games (2023), which landed at #45 in Louder Than War's albums of the year, and Yesterday Tomorrow and You, which the same outlet called "the pinnacle of their career to date". Its a great piece of minimal electronic pop with great mixes and arrangements (as ever). Well worth a listen
