We had a chat with David from Sound Technoloy who gave us a look at the Efnote 7 advanced electric drum kit.
This kit resembles an acoustic drum set, catering to gigging drummers who require that classic aesthetic but want the flixibility of electronic triggers.
The kit employs unique pad technology with minimal shell resonance, ensuring near-total silence on stage. It features multi-zone drum pads, including a three-zoned snare and dual-zone toms, along with advanced cymbal detection that offers distinct zones for a realistic feel. The kit is expandable and connects via its own brain module, offering MIDI and USB outputs for additional sound triggers.
You can edit drum sounds on the kit and add custom samples through a Bluetooth app.
Priced at £3,600, the standard kit includes essential stands and the module but excludes hi-hat and pedal stands.
The pro model, aimed at the semi-pro and touring musicians, includes per drum outputs via a stage box, and retails for around £7,000.
