SonicLAB:Faderpunk 16 Channel Multi-Function Control

In this Sonic Lab, we look at the ATOV FaderPunk, a 16-channel multi-function controller for MIDI, CV, gate, clock and triggers. 
Each slot has a fader, button and 1/8-inch jack, with voltages set in the configurator. 
Connections include USB-C, I2C, dual MIDI and a Punk Bus link to a Eurorack module. 
We ran an 8-channel sequencer, LFO, random and Euclidean triggers and envelopes, controlling Eurorack modules, a Roland JX-08 and MIDI-triggered drums. Sixteen snapshots store the state. The editor at faderpunk.io groups apps by channel count and links to manuals. 

We noted some fader jitter which meant one of the sequencer pitches jumped (though not regularly), no pitch lock on sequence notes (which would help) and no full-configuration loading in standalone.
 
Priced at £579, around US$629, it replaces several modules and runs a large hardware rig without a computer, and we think it is a platform worth watching as the software expands.
