MIX Challenge 12th Anniversary Now Running

The Mix Challenge community has reached its 12-year mark, with two competitions open right now.
 The long-running audio community built around "learn by doing"  created by Roland Löhlbach, is celebrating its 12th anniversary, with 110 Mixing Challenges and 106 Songwriting Competitions to date.

The premise is simple: a space to sharpen your skills on real material without putting a paid project on the line.
Two challenges are currently open:

Mix Challenge 110 - mix a rock production from Spanish band Sintapujo. Deadline: 21-JUN-2026, 23:59 CEST.
Songwriting Competition 106 - theme is "Surreal" (a picture-prompt brief), open to any genre that fits the premise. Deadline: 24-JUN-2026, 23:59 CEST.

Its s low-stakes place to practice mixing on audio you wouldn't normally get your hands on.
Monthly recurring songwriting games, with the occasional curveball to keep things interesting.
A shot at winning music software licenses from a long list of sponsors.

 For anyone wanting to mix material outside their usual remit, or to write to a brief on a deadline, it's a free, peer-driven way to build experience and get feedback.
