First-Ever Official Prophet~5 Software Instrument

US GForce Software and Sequential announce the official Prophet~5 plugin      16/06/26

Few synthesizers have shaped music history like the Sequential Prophet~5. Originally released in 1978 by Sequential Circuits, Dave Smith's legendary analogue polysynth introduced a new era of polyphonic synthesis, combining analogue warmth, patch memory and hands-on control in a way that transformed music production forever.

Now, for the first time ever, Sequential and GForce Software have partnered to create the official Prophet~5 software instrument.

David Gibbons, CEO, Sequential, told us, "The Prophet~5 holds a special place in Sequential's history and in the wider story of modern music. GForce Software approached the instrument with real care, and no one comes closer capturing the character and musicality of the hardware. We're excited to see their plugin introduce a new generation of musicians and producers to the Prophet~5."

Here's more details...

Faithfully recreating the distinct character of the Rev1, Rev2 and Rev3 hardware revisions, Prophet~5 captures the sound, response and musicality that made the original instrument iconic, from lush SSM warmth to the punch of the Curtis filter designs.

Alongside all original hardware functionality and the classic 1978 factory presets, the Prophet~5 introduces powerful modern enhancements, including newly redesigned X-Modifiers, dual-layer architecture, MPE support, and a premium suite of studio effects.

Some synths don't just belong to moments; they create them.
