Lambda Synthetics tells us that Wavetable Designer, first shown to the public at Superbooth 2026, is now available online. The new browser based tool allows user to create wavetables for almost any soft- or hardware synthesizer that loads custom wavetables, including the Lambda Synthetics PolyPulse. Here's the details direct from the company...
Using Wavetable Designer, wavetables are created by a chain of generators: sources add a new waveform and effects modify the signals created by previous generators. To quickly create sonic changes in a wavetable for each parameter a value can be set for the first and last wavetable: all cycles inbetween are generated automatically.
Wavetables are plotted in 2D and 3D and the built-in audio preview allows you to listen to the wavetable at different frequencies and with a moving position while editing. Wavetable Designer exports *.wav or *.wt files at various bit depths.
The upcoming major firmware update for the Lambda Synthetics PolyPulse will introduce wavetable playback, assignable modulation of the algorithmic sequencer, improved internal resampling with automatic trimming, real-time display output to the browser and many more enhancements. The firmware update is to be released in May.
