Driftlab Audio has released Lowtide Glue, a Windows-only VST3 bus compressor which they say is designed for cohesive, musical glue with distinct analogue character. They tell us that Lowtide Glue combines a unified compression control, three character modes, and a sidechain high-pass filter inside a ocean-inspired interface built for fast, confident workflow.
Here's more details direct from the company...
Lowtide Glue's design centers on simplicity without sacrifice: a single
Amount knob maps threshold, ratio, knee, and makeup gain together as one
unified control, while auto gain compensation keeps levels matched to
bypass at every setting. The Speed control sweeps from slow, breathing
compression to tight, aggressive FET-style control, and the Low-End
Anchor sidechain filter prevents bass hits from triggering unwanted gain
reduction across the mix.Three character modes shape the compression's personality. Warm adds
even-harmonic saturation, softened highs, and a low-mid density boost
for transformer-like weight. Clean delivers transparent, colorless
dynamic control. Punch applies a high-frequency presence boost and fast
detection for a forward, impactful FET character. All three modes
include 2x oversampling at 44.1 and 48 kHz for clean, alias-free
saturation. The interface features Driftlab's signature aesthetic -- deep navy and
turquoise with animated glow metering -- alongside a dual-layer RMS and
peak display, a gain reduction meter, and a parallel Mix control for New
York-style blending. Fifty factory presets cover everything from subtle
bus glue to aggressive parallel compression.Key Features
