At Superbooth 2026, we spoke with Emanuel from CLANK who introduced us to the Uranograph which just received its recent firmware update, which introduced several significant enhancements. Key among them is the addition of polyphony, offering three voices--a departure from its previous monophonic design. It also incorporates a new loop stretch feature, allowing precise control over looped audio, akin to using two tape loops.
The unit features Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling firmware updates without the need for USB cables or additional software. While MIDI over Wi-Fi isn't available yet, you can synchronize the device with your phone. Ideal for ambient music creators, the Uranograph offers versatile sound capabilities, ranging from subtle sine waves to complex sequences. Available through dealers like Schneider's Laden and distributed by Alex4, the Uranograph is priced at approximately 2,000 euros in Europe.
