At Superbooth 2026 we spoke with Fred from Analog Sweden who introduced us to their latest creation, the Swen 2 This monophonic analog synthesizer evolves from their original Swenergizer, offering abundant modulation functionalities.

Notably, the Swen 2 is equipped with a new generative sequencer, the GSEC, which facilitates real-time pattern creation and manipulation. A single VCO with standard waveforms, including PVM on the saw, feeds into a robust 12-mode filter and overdrive-capable VCA. This synthesis chain is complemented by three envelopes and two LFOs--analog and digital, with the latter being sequencer-synced.

A digital 'ghost' oscillator introduces harmonics by mirroring main oscillator activities, providing versatile tuning options. The synthesizer also includes a sine sub-oscillator and an SH-101 style sub-oscillator for enhanced low-frequency range.

Priced at €699 (including tax), the Swen 2 aims to reach enthusiasts by June. This synthesis powerhouse offers intriguing soundscapes through its innovative sequencer and modulation features, all crafted to accommodate collaborative artist inputs.
