Superbooth 2026: Area.6 Performance Mixer Union Audio

We spoke to Adrian Silvester and Matthias from Union Audio during Superbooth 2026 about their innovative Area 6 Performance Mixer Unlike standard offerings, Area 6 brings a modular design with a focus on flexibility and analog quality. It features six channels, each switchable between mono and stereo, catering to both studio and live setups. Union Audio incorporated tilt EQ instead of traditional panning, which is now moved to CV control for more creative routing options.

Key features include a CV-controllable filter with high-pass, low-pass, and drive options, as well as six level and aux CV inputs. The advanced compressor offers a combination of parallel and negative compression modes to enhance mix dynamics, bypassing channel one for side-chaining tasks. The mixer supports stereo returns, master inserts, and modular mounting, ensuring wide adaptability.

Priced at €1,399, Area 6 will be available in stores by July, promising robust build quality and versatile use for mixing enthusiasts.
