At Superbooth 2026 we spoke to Thomas from Vermona about their latest creation, the Drumding Unlike traditional drum machines, it offers a unique approach to percussion synthesis allowing you to design custom drum sounds. This is made possible with its analog synthesizer voice, capable of making a wide range of drum sounds from kicks to claps, using components like an oscillator and noise generator.
Drumding allows you to create custom sounds and save them as samples, modify them in real time with a high-resolution screen that couples parameters with easily accessible knobs, and effects such as backwards, drive, bit crusher, and amplitude modulation. Drumding also integrates velocity controls, parameter locks, and probability for more dynamic sound shaping. Individual outputs per track enable sophisticated sequencing.
Thomas noted that the Drumding is set to be released next month, priced at 1,500 euros in Germany. This innovative tool invites you to rethink drum design, offering the flexibility to layer or transform sounds seamlessly.
