Superbooth 2026: Oddment ODD-1 Granular Synth

We had a chat with John from Oddment who gave us a look at the Odd1 a granular synthesizer shown at Superbooth 2026 The core of the Odd1 lies in its distinctive industrial design, organized in rows with dual-function knobs, controlled by toggle switches, offering significant functionality in a compact interface.

The Odd1 features an envelope, LFO, samples, and playheads, allowing for independent pitch and speed adjustments. With eight-voice polyphony and dual-layer multi-timbral capability, each layer processes stereo samples and offers binaural rendering for spacious sound placement.

Modulation includes unlimited connections, MPE capability, and CV inputs, catering to performance versatility. It holds four gigabytes for user samples, which can be transferred via USB, and onboard sampling is straightforward. Effects include DSP-based filters, distortion, and an extensive delay interface adaptable for live effects or traditional playback.

Available for pre-order at $999 (excluding tax) with expected availability between July and August, the Odd1 presents a unique tool for creative sound design.
