Superbooth 2026: Mayer EMI Vibes Synthesizer

At Superbooth 2026 we had a chat with Horst from Mayer EMI who gave us a look at the Vibes 4 part multitimbral synthesizer. This substantial upgrade builds upon the existing MD-900 platform, addressing manufacturing hurdles by introducing a powerful new CPU. This transition enables superior capabilities while maintaining the beloved functionalities of its predecessor.

A standout feature is its increased output potential with four distinct outputs, a stereo input, and a digital mixer boasting 19 stereo channels with integrated effects stacks and send/returns. Additionally, it functions as a DAW in a box, offering seven tracks--five internal and two external--enhanced by multi-temporal parts and a comprehensive drum engine.

Designed for seamless stage performances, the Vibes includes Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity to synchronize with tablets and browsers via local networks, tapping into extensive sequencing and MIDI editing functionalities. With its intuitive one-knob control system and expanded oscillator options, it is currently available for €1,999 through ISA's online store.
