Superbooth 2026: Suonobuono Polyvera MASSIVE Update

Good afternoon Sonic Fans, Paulee here with a bit of news. Over the past few weeks I've been bug squashing and beta testing new firmware for Suonobuono's Polyvera, a hybrid synth of wavetables, samples and glorious analogue filters. Firmware v0.35, which is near imminent release - contains a bunch of new synthesis features and honestly? Some of the more experimental ones lead to surprisingly cool results!

-Added new wavefolder drive options under mix->drive menu
-Added new sampler x-fade options under sample->loop menu
-Added support for user sample and wavetable subfolders 
-Extended presets to 8 banks with up to 128 presets each
-Added new LFO waveforms and UI feedback, including using Wavetable Osc waveforms
-Added LFO S&H control under Voice->LFO
-Added Drive as a modulation destination
-Added setting for disabling automatic samples loop import
-Added setting for turning panel leds off
-Various bug fixes and improvements

I'll briefly appraise some of the highlights. There's a bunch of new LFO waveforms and these can even be derived from the currently selected wavetable - even as that wavetable is being modulated! Going Further, Stefano added an LFO S&H control (always wild when manufacturers implement my crazy suggestions lol) which can be used to "de-rez" these waveforms and create stair-stepped modulations, reminiscent of early digital LFOs.

The Drive option, previously an all analogue-affair - is now modulatable and can be swapped for two different digital waveshapers! These remind me of unapologetically digital 90's synths like the Korg 01/W and Microwave XT and are a welcome addition.

The new Xfade options are useful - they're not designed to do huge "bow-tie" crossfades on samples, but to add a short fade around the loop-points to mask any clicks. These work well in my experience.

Finally, there's a new bank of sounds to showcase all of these new features! Polyvera Friends vol.1 features myself, Sonora Cinematic, Enzalla & Pelican Society - so be sure to check that out when released. Thanks to Suonobuono for giving me this opportunity; making factory presets for a synth has been a bit of a longstanding pipe dream for me!
