Synchrony Performance Encoder

US Playing becomes a dynamic tempo map      31/03/26

Synchrony Performance Encoder

Synchrony is a new platform which follows your performance to create a tempo map which can warp the grid itself. It can be loaded as an instrument in your DAW or as a standalone application. You can pre-load your own MIDI files or record into it - with lots of features detailed in the overview below. It's available now at an intro price of £49, which is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. Here's more...

What this means for your music

Your interpretation, preserved
The expression in your playing isn't lost to quantisation. It becomes the tempo map that drives the whole session.

Hours of work, automated
No more nudging tempo markers one by one. Synchrony generates the map in a fraction of a second.

Every part moves together
When every part follows the same tempo map, your whole arrangement moves together.

Encode more than tempo
Map velocity and CCs from one performance to another, capturing dynamics and expression alongside timing.

Transparent by design
The alignment editor lets you visualise the mapping between your performance and the reference, and step in to refine it.

Works without a DAW
The standalone app lets you record, host plugins, and switch between musical and linear time modes. Perfect for notation software workflows.

Made for music that moves
Orchestral mockups, film scores, chamber music. Any session where you want rhythmic freedom across multiple parts.

From improvisation to orchestration
Capture a musical idea at the piano and build a full arrangement around it without losing the essence of the original performance.

You've felt the quantise compromise
The performance felt right, but quantising was the only practical choice. Now it isn't.
