A Love Letter to Depeche Mode

Hi adventurers!

This weekend I released a video that should be of interest to fans of Depeche Mode (that's everyone, right?) - I attempted to write a song in the style of 1993's "Songs of Faith & Devotion" (with a little "exciter" thrown in!).

The song is called "Internalised" and like most of my songs, is about Complex PTSD. I focused on 5 distinct elements to try and nail that DM sound:

1. Balancing the Soulful & the Industrial

2. Twangy Guitars

3. Oddball Chord Choices

4. Process Everything!

5. For the Love of Sampling

Let me know if you think I got the ingredients right and see you next time!
