Gaz Williams takes a look at the OXI Instruments  E16, a versatile premium MIDI controller with 16 push encoders, designed to give you hands-on control over hardware and software instruments. 

With three virtual USB MIDI ports, two TRS MIDI outputs, one TRS MIDI input, and Bluetooth MIDI, the E16 offers extensive connectivity. 

It comes with an OLED display for navigation and provides options for both smooth and detented encoders (decide before you buy). 

Despite needing external USB power, the E16 is inherently portable, with an included carry case. 
Its integration into existing setups makes it a choice companion for both live and studio applications, highlighting its robust design and thoughtful features.  
Its also worth noting that OXI are very proactive when it comes to updates so any missing features such as synced playback of motion and SYSEX learn are likely to be implemented.
