Klevgrand has announced the release of OneShot2 - Drum Sampler the next generation of their plugin, which they say continues the quest for next-level drum realism. Here's their press release with the details...

OneShot2: Pushing drum sampler technology into new territories

Today, we're proud to introduce OneShot2, a substantial evolution of our drum sampling concept. Featuring a unique new motion engine and all-new sounds, it redefines what a drum sampler can be and sets a new standard for its kind.

Three years ago we started the ambitious project of building the best sounding drum sampler we could possibly imagine. That quest became OneShot, an instrument focused on nuance, dynamics, and next-level realism, a Klevgrand approach that resonated with thousands of music makers around the world.

A whole new Motion engine
OneShot at its core is built around a highly sophisticated drum engine designed for single hits. With OneShot2, we've pushed things further and introduced a first-of-it's-kind Motion engine, that allows the user to create phrases that breathe and evolve over time. Thanks to this completely unique feature, anyone can craft timed cymbal swells, shaker figures, foley movements, and virtually any rhythmic sound that you can think of.

Motion controller app (iPhone _ MacOS)
OneShot2 comes with a new optional app that lets you control the Motion engine directly with your hand! Engage the External sync mode when playing a motion sound and you're now dictating the sound directly with your iPhones accelerometer.

Massive addition of sounds
OneShot2 introduces a large collection of new presets and sounds, taking advantage of the new Motion Engine, but also greatly expanding the already extensive collection of multi-sampled percussive sounds. In total, OneShot2 now includes a whopping: 310+ Presets, 780+ Slots & 20 000+ samples.

Among the new factory sounds of OneShot2 you'll find a new Studio Kit - great for all kinds of modern music that craves some acoustic drums.

Also a brand new Jazz Brush Kit, rich in nuance and character. You will also find a large collection of new percussion instruments, nature sounds and other rhythmic stuff, all making use of the new Motion engine.

New effects

• Reverb2: An easy to use, fantastic sounding reverb unit. The reverb is built on our beloved Walls algorithm, that was released in 2025.
• Transient adder: By adding this transient effect, we brought a tool that can give that missing punch, or simply add tonal character to your audio. Based on our popular plugin Fosfat.
• Unstereo: This tool is for narrowing sounds that are too wide, giving you spatial control and comes in handy when trying to create a balanced mix.

 

Made to get better
We are constantly improving the user experience of OneShot and listening to feedback. We've added a number of highly requested new features and tricks to the new version for example: Stack triggers (stacking sounds, create flams etc.), Smarter batch import & export, One Shot durations controlled by note off, copy/paste effects and much more.
