This 2005 documentary 'Brother From Another Planet' is a 2005 film by Don Letts about the inimitable Sun Ra, covering the pianist and band leader as he moved from traditional jazz to something altogether other worldly. Eccentric and enigmatic, he lived in a universe of his own creation, claiming he came from Saturn and dressing like a pharaoh - taking his listeners away from the stark reality of life and taking them into outer galaxies. Fantastic stuff!
