Oberheim Matrix-1000

US Late 80s fatness still punches      25/02/26

Rapid Flow gets straight to the point in this overview of the Oberheim Matrix-1000 - alongside the stereo ping programmer for full control. The focus of the video is that it's fatter than modern synths, and it's hard to deny the claim based on the video! It's got some lovely sounds, including spaced-out pads and some chunky basses. He has sampled the unit and the patches are available with a Zensphere VSTi for £125 (half the normal price) available here. He also has some FREE Kick drums available here. More from the vid...
