Here's a nifty little video - youtuber Delphi has shown how they use BetterTouchTool to convert MIDI messages to AppleScript code, to interface with Google Chrome, allowing for numerous controls over the browser. The result is 16 trigger points, frame by frame scrub, save & load features and more! An excellent use of the software, and many other possibilities available, I'm sure - what would you use it for?
Get Better Touch Tool here: https://folivora.ai/ - It has a trial license available for 45 days, with a lifetime license costing £22.80 inc. VAT and a 2 year standard license costing £13.20 inc. VAT.

The YouTube Chopper.
I found a way to turn YouTube and an SP404 MKII into a visual sampler.
I used a software called BetterTouchTool to convert midi messages into pretty much everything, in this case, pieces of AppleScript code that talk to Chrome giving a specific command.
So yes you can chop straight on YouTube (or any other page with a player, even offline if chrome is used as a player itself).
Here's the specs:
16 cue points (rec/recall)
trigger/gate mode
frame by frame scrub
8 visual fx
clear all
load next video
save & load function (yes you can save and load slices for a specific video). There is no other software involved rather than BTT to convert the signal.
