Tangerine Dream Concepts & Creation

We shared a video earlier this week, recreating an exact track (M38 - Midnight City) and here is another take on the remake. In this video Josh Lucan talks about his love of Tangerine Dream and the extensive notes he's made on how they made their sound. He goes through sharing some of the creative concepts behind their works and puts down his own interpretation of how they put their sound together. Here's more:

I show how I made an original song in the style of Tangerine Dream using some of the sequencing concepts I have learned from dissecting their music. I explain how I built complexity out of small cells of sequences using the Intellijel Metropolix, the Squarp Hapax, and the Moog 10 (as well as Ableton Live, some soft synths and a Tascam TSR-8, a reel to reel 8 track tape recorder).
