BaF 26: Terraphones Nymira

US Standalone harmony instrument      25/01/26

Nick Kwas spoke with Adam from Terraphones about his innovative instrument, the Nymira. This  instrument integrates music theory concepts like the circle of fifths into a hands-on interface, catering to musicians who appreciate its intuitive layout for exploring chords and harmony. Adam, who holds degrees in music composition and theory, demonstrated how Nymira allows you to seamlessly transition between chords, making complex progressions easy to navigate.

The Nymira houses three sound engines, with the main one based on the overtone series, and you can manipulate sound through seven sliders. The instrument supports a variety of chord extensions, and even has an open voicing mode for jazz enthusiasts. Wrapped in a warm walnut enclosure, its certainly a unique and compelling instrument.
