Duck it!

US Hivetune releases a ducking delay      26/11/25

Hivetune describes their Duck it! Delay as a smart ducking delay plugin. They say that it automatically lowers the delayed signal when the dry sound is present, so echoes fills the gaps instead of fighting with the main signal.

A spokesperson told us, "Use it when you need a clean delay that preserves clarity and avoids muddying your sound. It also gives you full control over the ducking behavior to give you the ability to adapt the effect to your song's dynamics."

Features:

  •     Visual feedback: At the center of the interface, the duck shows how much the delay is being attenuated: it lowers when the echoes are attenuated and rise as they fade back in.
  •     Intelligent ducking: The plugin listens to your signal and adapts the attenuation naturally for smooth results.
  •     Full control: Adjust how strongly and quickly the ducking reacts to shape the groove of your delay.
  •     Sidechain support: Let another track control the ducking to have more creative flexibility.
  •     Tempo-sync & free time: Sync delay time to host tempo, including triplet & dotted modes, or directly set it in seconds.
  •     Tone shaping: Shape the tone of the echoes with a low-pass filter.
  •     Dynamic feedback control: Go from short, snappy echoes to lush, evolving textures using the feedback knob.
  •     Mix controls: Simple wet/dry controls to let the echoes find the perfect spot in your mix.
  •     Customisation: Scale the UI to adapt to your preference or screen resolution.
