Also Available In White

As part of the development of their flagship sampling instrument, Torso Electronics have created a new White Edition of the S4 Sculpting Sampler.

They say that, with a refreshed hardware color scheme featuring gray buttons and knobs on a cream-white enclosure, alternative display options and a version 2.0 OS, the S4 continues to evolve as a unique gateway into unexpected sound worlds. Here's more details in their own words...

Music in the Now
Since launching in 2024, the S4 has quickly been adopted by adventurous electronic musicians attracted to the deep layers of sound design, processing and intuitive performance it offers. Whether running live sound directly into the machine in real-time or manipulating ready-made loops and samples, the intuitive flow of the signal path quickly leads into exciting, uncharted territory. With four separate audio tracks, the S4 can handle a whole musical performance on its own or fit into a bigger set up, flexible enough to be used for all kinds of applications from live, tape-style looping to intricate granular synthesis, spatial processing and more.

The S4 is built for the pursuit of sound with personality. From dynamic, richly resonant filtering to multiple modulation possibilities, you can discover individuality at every stage of the sound sculpting process through the S4's tactile interface, bringing expression into the art of sound design.

New Look
As well as the new gray and white color scheme of the outer chassis, you can now toggle the S4 display between white and black themes depending on your preference. That option applies to the existing black edition of the S4 as well.
