A New Generation Of Acoustic Treatment Panels

GIK Acoustics has announced the launch of its Amplitude line, which they describe as a new generation of acoustic treatment panels that combine GIK's trusted performance with a bold, refined aesthetic. They say that the Amplitude line delivers the same acoustic reliability GIK is known for and introduces its new patented recessed plate technology. 

David Shevyn, Chief Product Officer, GIK Acoustics, told us, "Our mission with Amplitude was to take everything we've learned over the past two decades and push panel design forward. The recessed plate is not just an aesthetic choice; it also improves the acoustic behaviour of the panel significantly. The result is panels that look striking, but more importantly, give creators and listeners a room they can trust."

The new recessed plate sits flush with the frame, creating crisp lines and a sleeker profile compared with earlier hybrid diffusion products. The introduction of new patterns also gives the panels a contemporary edge, complementing both modern studio builds and high-end living spaces where visual impact is as important as sonic accuracy.

Replacing GIK's long-running Alpha / Impression series, the Amplitude line consolidates years of customer feedback and design research into a single, streamlined family of products.

• Amplitude Bass Trap Panels – engineered to target low-frequency build-up, improving definition in the critical sub-100Hz range, starting at $119 / £159 / €149
• Amplitude Corner Bass Traps – maximising efficiency where rooms need it most, delivering broadband control in corners, starting at $209 / £179 / €199

 

Each model is finished in premium Camira fabrics, widely regarded as the most acoustically transparent textiles available.
