Bristronica 25: Genki Instruments - Katla Synth

We had a chat with Olle from Genki, who showed us the Kattler synth. This five-voice synthesizer, which first appeared as a concept in France earlier this year, allows you to modify wave shapes in real-time, providing various octave and wave cycling options with each keystroke. The synth integrates a mix of MS-20 and SEM style filters and introduces analog distortion derived from a fuzz pedal.

And yes, it is made from bits of volcano!

Priced at €5,000, only a limited run of 100 units will be produced, shipped by the end of the year.
