Vinyl Stop Simulator

US TapeFi releases STOP for MacOS and Windows      09/09/25

Vinyl Stop Simulator

STOP is the second free release from TapeFi who have previously released the FAIL Tape Cassette Emulator. They say that, built for producers chasing vibe, chaos, and emotion, STOP takes the classic vinyl/tape stop effect and pushes it way beyond the basics.

A spokesperson told us, "We designed STOP to capture the soul of real turntables and tape machines – the pitch drifts, the curves of the slowdown, the dusty vinyl textures, and those happy accidents that make Lo-Fi special. On top of that, we added fresh digital twists like glitchy steps, downsampled crunch, and dreamy washouts -- turning a simple stop into a creative playground."

Key Features:

  •     Tempo-Synced Tape Stop – Classic slowdown effect synced to your DAW with selectable pitch ranges (-48 / -36 / -24 / -12).
  •     Curve Control – Shape your stop from smooth linear fades to warped, curvy drop-offs.
  •     Vinyl Noise Layer – Add dusty, recorded vinyl textures for instant nostalgia.
  •     Step Mode – Glitchy, stutter-style stop patterns for more experimental vibes.
  •     DIGI Effect – Crunchy, downsampled slowdown that adds digital grit.
  •     Washout Effect – A lush reverb+delay tail that turns your stop into a spacious, dreamy wash.
  •     One-Click Workflow – Just hit STOP and transform your track.
  •     Native Support – Runs smooth on all major DAWs for Windows, macOS.
  •     AU / VST / VST3 ( 64 bit )
