Interesting project on GitHub from zerubeus, which interfaces an MCP server (Model Context Protocol) that can allow Anthropic's Claude (an excellent model for coding) and other compatible LLMs to control and program Elektron synthesizers and Sub 37 via MIDI. Essentially, allowing you to write a prompt to create a patch or setup. It allows for a web page to interact with MIDI devices using his code.
Try it for your Elektron or Moog Sub 37 at synthgenie.com. Looks like you just need to connect your device via WebMIDI and off you go.
Examples they give are:
"Use Digitone MCP to design an evolving dark pad using the Wavetone machine on track 1."
"Use Digitone MPC to design a Dark thick pad using Wavetone machine on track 1."
If you want to develop this for other synths, it might be something fun to explore.

It feels like we're not far from a linguistic approach to synthesis, either describing the sort of sound you want or, even more interesting, describing the sort of synthesizer you'd like. What do you think?
