Tape Bowing Ensemble

US Reel experimental sounds from the JIGAKKYU      12/08/25

The Open Reel Ensemble are here showing their Bamboo bow skills, in a trio performance on the "JIGAKKYU".  It's described as a traditional folk instrument made by stretching magnetic tape across bamboo, with some added effects for good measure.  The performances sounds both ethereal and warm, with an other-worldly energy - and a surprising level of dexterity!
