We had a chat with Ward from Lambda Synthetics, who gave us a look at the Polypulse Algorithmic Performance Workstation. Ward explained that recent updates have implemented an innovative algorithmic cue system, adding a song mode that allows you to arrange patterns on a timeline, with an algorithmic twist for unique performances. The cue editor enables seamless transitions between patterns and incorporates fun coding-like features without requiring programming knowledge.
Ward demonstrated how the touchpad's X, Y axis can control multiple parameters. A new sound engine named "external" was introduced, allowing for MIDI and MPE to control other devices, such as a Nord Micro Modular. Additionally, you can now apply morphing and microtuning via MPE to achieve creative sound manipulation. The update will be available online within weeks, ensuring more expressive and dynamic live compositions.
