We spoke to Christophe Duquesne from La Voix Du Luthier at Superbooth 2025, who introduced to their resonators Voile, Pyramide and finally Onde, three beautiful hand-crafted sound resonators. Christophe then explained that the resonators are not speakers, but rather they utilize transducers and piezo mics to filter and modify sound. In the demonstration, wood and metal surfaces were used as transfer functions within a modular synth patch. This intriguing technique allows you to interact with sound in a tactile manner, providing varied sonic possibilities. Though the resonators are still in development, Christophe hinted at future DIY solutions.
Chris then introduced Loris software which takes samples, analyzes them, and extracts synthesis parameters to control up to 64 oscillators. This allows you to replicate the sample in a unique way that's inspired by the original. The software integrates with any Eagan Matrix-based synth, including the Continuum and Osmose.
